| The enchant skill allows you to imbue magical effects on items [such as clothing and weapons]. With this skill, you can increase your chances of extracting [burning] an enchant off of an item as well as being able to enchant higher ranked enchant scrolls. S C R O L L A N A T O M Y1- Durability % 2- Name of Enchant// Root of the enchant [Pre/Suffix]// Rank of Enchant 3- Details of Enchant. May list restrictions. [i.e. "Enchanting regardless of rank", "For heavy armor only" etc.] 4- Extra details of Enchant. Some enchants have further restrictions, price reductions/increases etc. 5- Time of expiration. A list of enchants in the game can be found here. E N C H A N T I N GBASIC FACTS:
- The enchanting success rate can be increased by the Lughnasadh (Thursday) daily effect and by enchanting with Elite Magic Powder or Elven Magic Powder. The success rate is capped at 90%.
- A player's Enchant skill rank has NO EFFECT on the success rate of enchanting. The Enchant success rate is influenced mainly by the amount of intelligence the player has and the rank of the enchant scroll being used. However, intelligence 200+ will not influence the success rate any further.
- Most items can be enchanted with a Prefix and a Suffix enchantment, but no more of one of each. In other words, enchanting a Prefix onto an item that already has one will replace the pre-existing Prefix.
- Enchant scrolls of rank 9 and higher require that the item being enchanted already have an enchantment of the previous rank [or higher] as well as being the same root [prefix or suffix]. This means that in order to enchant an item with a rank 6 enchant, for example, you must first enchant it with a rank A, 9, 8, and 7 enchant in that order.
EXAMPLE: You want to enchant: Oak Tree [Rank 7 Suffix] You MUST chain enchant in this order: 1.) Thief/Bloody/Fighter/Healer or any other Rank A Suffix [Rank A Suffix] 2.) Golem [Rank 9 Suffix] 3.) Falcon [Rank 8 Suffix] 4.) Oak Tree [Rank 7 Suffix]
*note* Some enchant scrolls allow you to enchant regardless of rank. Read your enchant scrolls carefully!
Enchanting Sequencing Lists can be found here.
- To use an enchant scroll of rank 5 or higher requires that a player has an Enchant skill rank of 5 or higher.
- The enchant scroll will vanish upon a successful enchant.
HOW TO:
- To enchant an item, the player needs to be equipped with magic powder [Magic Powder-acquired from burning, Blessed Powder-acquired through magic shops, or Elite Powder-acquired through magic shops] in their right hand and an enchant scroll in their left.
- Next, go to your skill window and click "USE" or if you have the skill set up in your hotkey options, press the assigned hotkey.
- A window will pop up with the rank of the enchant scroll listed as well as your success rate % of enchanting that particular scroll. It will also ask you which item you would like to enchant. Make your selection and click "Ok".
- Wait for your results. Hopefully, you will succeed! :]
- If you happen to fail, you have the option of trying again. Whenever an enchant fails, the durability of the scroll will decrease. The higher rank enchanter you are, the less durability you will lose when you fail. [Chart of durability loss can be found here.
E X T R A C T I N G [BURNING]BASIC FACTS:
- The rank of the enchanter's campfire skill can increase the enchant burn success.
- You can burn items using firewood, camp fire kit, or camp kit. [Campfire rank affects all types of fires.]
- Higher Enchant skill rank increases the chance of extracting an enchant from an item. [i.e. Rank 2 Enchanter has a success rate of 70%.]
- Items needed to extract: Fire, Mana [solo]/Sunlight Herb [entrusting], Holy Water
HOW TO:
- Be sure to have 1 mana herb and 1 holy water for each item you wish to burn.
- Build yourself a fire, whether with firewood, campfire kit, or a tent.
- Drag the item you wish to burn into the fire.
- A window will pop up asking what you wish to do. Click on "Enchanter's Burn".
- If successful, you will have extracted the enchant you were needing. :]
